When I was a young teenager, I met a girl who had her hair wrapped on holiday in America. It wasn't very common back then in the UK (this was 1990). I was fascinated, and practised and practised with my Mum's embroidery cotton until I cracked it!
Friends at school were eager for me to wrap their hair, and the more Hair Wraps I made, the better I got. I realised I could make money from it, so I started charging anyone who wanted a Hair Wrap.
Shortly after, I set up a little stall that I would work from at weekends in my local town to make some pocket money.
I have recently expanded my handmade range of hair wraps to include wraps for Dreadlocks, wraps with charms and with feathers. All my feathers are ethically sourced - locally, where possible. Read more about my ethical policy HERE.
I am a mum of three boys and a mad Cockapoo. I am lucky enough to live in beautiful West Wales with my lovely Graphic Designer husband. I love mountain-biking, kayaking and running, all things sparkly, and a glass of white wine next to my fire pit after a long day at work.
I hope you enjoy wearing my Hairwraps as much as I enjoyed making them for you.
